About the event
You’re building a real, floatable, human-carrying vessel… out of cardboard. Yes, seriously.
Official Rules:
Boats must be made of ONLY corrugated cardboard, tape, and paint.
No wood, metal, plastic, foam, fiberglass, wax-coated, or pre-treated cardboard.
Large appliance boxes work great – check with local stores!
Use duct tape, masking tape, and waterproof glue.

🔧 Official Rules: ✅ Your boat must be made of corrugated cardboard only ❌ No wood, metal, plastic, foam, fiberglass, wax-coated, or pre-treated cardboard 📦 Large appliance boxes work great – check with local stores! 🔩 Use duct tape, masking tape, and waterproof glue 🎨 Decorate with latex paint (no oil-based) 🎁 Cardboard tubes (like wrapping paper tubes) are allowed 🦺 Everyone must wear a personal flotation device 🏁 Your boat must survive two 150-yard laps with at least one rider
