
Without the help of all the charities, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout would not be what it is today. Our event raises funds for eight Lake Area rescue teams and a wide variety of other charities and funds across the community. By coming out and showing your support, you'll be giving back to the community and supporting your friends and neighbors while also having a great time.

Meet the 47 Shootout-Appointed Recipients of 2025
Boy Scouts of America—Troop 21
Boy Scout Troop 21 is dedicated to shaping young people into responsible, ethical citizens through leadership, service, and adventure. Guided by the Scout Oath and Law, the troop emphasizes hands-on community involvement and encourages scouts to help fund their own activities. Proceeds from the 2024 Shootout are supporting two High Adventure Sea Base trips. One group of eight scouts will explore Florida’s Island Expedition, while another group of seven will set sail for a week in St. Thomas. Looking ahead, 2025 Shootout funds will help cover summer camp for 20 scouts and a Branson camping trip, including tickets to Silver Dollar City. Each year during the Shootout, Troop 21 gives back by cleaning the Bagnell Dam Strip, including but not limited to hauling trash, replacing bags, and maintaining bathroom facilities throughout the weekend.
CLYFL-Camdenton Lakers Youth Football Leage
The Camdenton Lakers Youth Football League, known as the Lil Hogs, offers football and cheer programs for over 300 K–6th grade students in the Lake area. Founded as a nonprofit in 2021, CLYFL serves as a feeder program to Camdenton’s school teams, promoting early engagement, community, and athletic development. Shootout funds have been essential in recertifying over 250 helmets and will help provide scholarships and equipment upkeep this year. Volunteers assist with Shootout traffic control, proudly giving back to an event that supports their mission. CLYFL fosters teamwork, safety, and a strong sense of belonging for young athletes across the region.
Camden County Sheriff's Office Employees' Association
The mission of the Camden County Sheriff’s Office Employees’ Association is to support the dedicated employees of the Camden County Sheriff's Office by providing advocacy, essential resources, and fostering strong connections through active community engagement.
Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV)
Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV) is committed to ending abuse and empowering survivors by providing safe shelter, financial assistance, and vital resources to those affected by domestic and sexual violence. In 2024, funds from the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout helped support survivors with rent, utilities, relocation costs, and vehicle repairs, all of which are key steps in establishing safe, independent lives. CADV also plays an active role in Shootout operations by volunteering for traffic control, parking assistance, and event support. Through both advocacy and action, CADV works to create a safer, more informed community.
Civil Air Patrol
The Civil Air Patrol supports emergency services, communications, and public safety at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, often providing aerial reconnaissance and mission training for cadets.
Coffman Bend Fire Association
Coffman Bend Fire Association (CBFA) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit fire department dedicated to providing high-quality fire protection and medical first response to the Coffman Bend community. Serving over 600 properties, CBFA relies on The Shootout as its primary and only fundraising event. Thanks to the Shootout’s direct support, they’ve been able to purchase essential equipment, including a fire boat, new radios, rescue tools, hoses, and wildland turnout gear. Each year, 60–70 dedicated volunteers contribute over 1,500 hours to The Shootout, assisting with everything from raffle donations and golf tournament sponsorships to merchandise sales and patrol support. This incredible effort continues thanks to strong community spirit and the enduring leadership of Ron Frazier, carrying on the legacy he began with the late Margie Frazier, his beloved wife of many years.
Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T)
C.E.R.T. Lake of the Ozarks empowers local volunteers through hands-on training in disaster preparedness and emergency response. From fire safety to medical operations, this dedicated team is ready to support their community when it matters most.
Community Foundation of the Lake: Magic Dragon Trails
The Community Foundation of the Lake is dedicated to improving the health, education, culture, and economic development of the Lake of the Ozarks region. One of its key initiatives, Magic Dragon Trails, is to create a network of multi-use trails and greenways that showcase the area's natural Ozark beauty. Designed for walking, hiking, biking, and running, the trails will provide year-round recreation while boosting local tourism and business. Spearheaded by the CFL, this visionary project enhances community well-being and regional connectivity.
Daybreak Rotary Charity Fund of Lake Ozark, Inc.
The Daybreak Rotary Charity Fund of Lake Ozark, Inc. is committed to uplifting the Lake of the Ozarks region through meaningful service and community engagement. Guided by the principles of Rotary International, the organization supports impactful local projects that promote education, health, and well-being. From hands-on volunteerism to funding charitable initiatives, Daybreak Rotary brings people together to create lasting, positive change. Their efforts reflect a deep dedication to service above self and improving lives across the Lake of the Ozarks area.
Dogwood Animal Shelter
As the largest no-kill shelter in the Lake area, Dogwood Animal Shelter cares for over 1,000 animals each year. They offer low-cost spay and neuter services and rely entirely on community donations, with no state or federal funding. Their mission is to provide a safe haven for homeless pets, reduce overpopulation humanely, and promote compassion through the power of human-animal connection.

Elks Clubs #2517, #2705, and #2857 proudly champion the timeless virtues of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. Through service, camaraderie, and a deep-rooted spirit of American patriotism, these lodges are dedicated to enriching the lives of their members and strengthening the bonds of community.
FF 14/FF-17 Fire Association
The FF-14/FF-17 Fire District is located in the upper northwest corner of Camden County, Missouri. It covers a small, inwardly positioned area that is almost entirely surrounded by the Northwest Fire Protection District, just south of the Morgan County line. Serving an entirely rural region, the FF-14/FF-17 Fire District is volunteer-only and it is responsible for providing fire suppression, emergency response, and rescue services.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a dynamic ministry focused on transforming lives through the power of sport and faith. With a mission “to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church,” FCA builds communities of faith on fields, courts, and campuses across the nation. By combining athletic excellence with spiritual growth, FCA empowers individuals to lead with integrity, serve with humility, and compete with purpose.
Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue & Sanctuary
Nestled near the shores of the Lake of the Ozarks, Forget-Me-Not Horse Sanctuary provides a safe haven for neglected and abandoned horses. With a mission rooted in compassion and care, the sanctuary offers rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong refuge while ensuring that every horse is truly never forgotten.
Gravois Mills Fire Protection District
The Gravois Mills Fire Protection District is committed to protecting the community with excellence, responding with speed, skill, and compassion. With a mission to serve and exceed expectations, the district focuses on preparedness, effective response, and strong recovery efforts to ensure the safety and resilience of the region.
Ivy Bend Community Food Pantry
The Ivy Bend Community Food Pantry is more than a source of nourishment, but it’s also a lifeline for families in need. Committed to supplementing food resources, the pantry also empowers individuals through education, training, and counseling, helping foster lasting lifestyle changes and a stronger, healthier community.
Kids’ Harbor
Kids’ Harbor is a nationally accredited child advocacy center supporting victims of child abuse and their safe caregivers throughout Central and Southwest Missouri, including the Lake of the Ozarks and Fort Leonard Wood. With offices in Osage Beach and St. Robert, Kids’ Harbor provides trauma-informed services, such as forensic interviews, family advocacy, and therapy referrals, at no cost to families. The organization also offers community education to help prevent and recognize abuse. Partnering with the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, Kids’ Harbor has volunteered at events like the Dam Putt Putt Tournament and the Shootout Street Party, with funds going toward critical counseling and prevention programs that promote healing and resilience.
Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast Foundation
The Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast Foundation is dedicated to changing the world, one community and one child at a time. With a mission centered on helping children, the Foundation turns volunteer efforts into meaningful impact by funding local scholarships for School of the Osage students and supporting organizations that serve youth. Every dollar raised goes directly back into the community to build brighter futures.
Lake Afterschool Science Engineering and Robotics
Lake Afterschool Science, Engineering, and Robotics inspires the next generation of innovators by giving students hands-on experience in engineering, coding, and design. Through engaging projects and real-world challenges, participants also develop essential soft skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership while preparing them for success in and beyond the classroom.
Lake Area Chamber of Commerce
The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce champions business growth, workforce development, and quality of life in the Lake of the Ozarks region. Shootout funds in 2024 supported critical planning for a new trail system, including surveying, legal work, and trailhead design between Three Seasons Road and Nichols Road. These investments set the stage for long-term community impact. Funds going forward will help strengthen member and community programs. Chamber board members and volunteers proudly assist with Shootout events wherever needed.
Lake Area Industries
Lake Area Industries provides meaningful employment to 55 individuals with disabilities, empowering them through work and community engagement. Services include packaging, recycling, secure document destruction, and mobile work crews that serve local businesses like Laurie Care Center and Camden on the Lake. LAI also operates Gifted Gardens and the food counter at the Missouri Trap Shooting Association. Thanks to Shootout support, the organization purchased a van to transport crews, expanding opportunities for real-world job experience. LAI proudly volunteers at Shootout events, from poker runs and race days to setup and cleanup, and they are always ready to lend a hand.
Lake Ozark Fire Protection District
The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District is dedicated to protecting lives and property through professional fire suppression, emergency medical response, and rescue services. Serving the Lake Ozark community, the district emphasizes safety through education, prevention, and preparedness. With highly trained personnel and a commitment to excellence, they stand ready to respond to all hazards. Their mission is to provide peace of mind through dependable, community-focused service.
Lake Ozark Municipal Police Department
The Lake Ozark Municipal Police Department is committed to delivering professional, community-focused law enforcement. With a focus on safety, service, and integrity, the department works diligently to protect both residents and visitors, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all.

Lake of the Ozarks Water Safety Council
The Lake of the Ozarks Water Safety Council is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to promoting safe and responsible recreation on the water. Through education, community outreach, and partnerships with local agencies, the Council works to reduce accidents and save lives. Their initiatives include life jacket awareness campaigns, boater safety education, and support for Water Patrol efforts. By fostering a culture of safety, the Council helps ensure that everyone can enjoy the Lake of the Ozarks responsibly. Their mission is to make the Lake of the Ozarks a safer place for residents and visitors alike.
Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance (LOWA)
LOWA is dedicated to preserving and protecting the Lake of the Ozarks through stormwater pollution control, shoreline erosion prevention, and public education. By securing over $2 million in grants for erosion control and septic maintenance, LOWA helps homeowners safeguard the Lake’s health. A long-time Shootout partner, LOWA supports the event with patrol boats, cleanup crews, and shuttle services. Funds raised help fuel community cleanups, native plant sales, free kayak days, and educational outreach while ensuring that the Lake of the Ozarks stays clean, safe, and vital to the local economy.
Laurie-Sunrise Beach Rotary Club
The Laurie-Sunrise Beach Rotary Club serves the community by promoting integrity, service, and global goodwill. With support from Shootout funds, the club backs local projects like Leader in Me, Westlake Aquatic Center, and area food pantries. They also partner on international clean water initiatives and support local efforts like Westside Soccer and Macks Creek Park. Known for stepping up whenever needed, members volunteer at key events including Dam Putt Putt, the iconic Street Party, and the Hall of Fame Dinner.
Livabilities
Livabilities empowers individuals with disabilities to reach their fullest potential through personalized support, services, and resources. Thanks to Shootout funding, the organization recently expanded its impact by purchasing not one, but two vans, thereby enhancing transportation access and independence for those they serve.
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri & Kansas
Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas transforms lives by granting the heartfelt wishes of children with critical illnesses. Each wish offers a life-changing experience while bringing hope, strength, and joy to children and their families during their most challenging moments. Fueled by compassion and community support, Make-A-Wish creates powerful moments that uplift spirits and inspire lasting resilience.
Marine MESS
Marine M.E.S.S. (Marines Engaged in Service & Support) is dedicated to honoring Marine veterans and their families by fostering camaraderie and providing meaningful support through outreach and community events. Built on the values of service, loyalty, and brotherhood, the organization helps Marines stay connected while continuing to serve their communities at home.
Mid-County Fire Protection District
The Mid-County Fire Protection District is home to the Lake of the Ozarks' only fire department-based dive team, which serves Central Missouri and responds to emergencies throughout the entire Lake area. The dive team is also recognized as a state mutual aid asset. On land, the district covers 230 square miles (from south of Montreal to north of Greenview), spanning across one-third of Camden County. Dedicated to protecting lives and property, the district delivers expert fire suppression, emergency medical services, and public education. Support from the Shootout helps fund critical training and equipment for the dive team, enhancing their ability to respond quickly and safely on and around the water.
Northwest Fire Protection District
Based in Climax Springs, the Northwest Fire Protection District is an all-volunteer department covering 175 square miles across Camden, Benton, and Hickory Counties. Since 2010, they have proudly supported the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout through traffic control, dock safety, RC boat registration, and Mini-Shootout course patrols. In 2024, Shootout funds helped them purchase three new wildfire suppression trucks and slide-in units, greatly enhancing their emergency response. Though a recent levy increase reduced their reliance on event funds, the Shootout continues to play a vital role in equipping their 30+ volunteers. With eyes on the future, they hope to secure a new fireboat in 2025 to better protect the Lake area community.
Osage Beach Fire Protection District
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District is committed to protecting life and property through professional fire suppression, emergency medical response, technical rescue, and public safety education. Serving one of the most vibrant areas of the Lake of the Ozarks, the district operates with a highly trained team and advanced equipment to meet the demands of a growing, active community. From structure fires and water rescues to community outreach and fire prevention programs, Osage Beach Fire stands ready 24/7. Their dedication not only enhances safety but also strengthens the connection between first responders and the people they serve.
Raising Hope
Raising Hope is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer by offering compassion, resources, and a sense of community during life’s most difficult moments. From financial assistance to emotional support, the organization brings hope and strength to those navigating the challenges of cancer while reminding them that they are never alone.
Richland Medical Center dba Central Ozarks Medical Center
Central Ozarks Medical Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center proudly serving Camden, Laclede, Pulaski, Miller, and Morgan counties. With over 81,000 patient visits annually, COMC is committed to ensuring access to quality healthcare for all, regardless of their ability to pay. Patient assistance funds and community-focused programs help remove barriers to care and improve lives across the region. Support from the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout helps COMC continue its mission to build healthier communities and provide compassionate care to those who need it most.
Rocky Mount Fire Protection District
The Rocky Mount Fire Protection District is committed to protecting lives and property through responsive fire suppression, emergency medical services, and proactive fire prevention education. Staffed by dedicated professionals and volunteers, the district proudly serves its community with integrity, preparedness, and a strong focus on safety.
School of the Osage Upper Elementary PTA
The School of the Osage Upper Elementary PTA is dedicated to unlocking every child’s potential by uniting families, educators, and the community. Through advocacy, volunteerism, and school support, the PTA empowers parents to play an active role in creating a positive, enriching environment for all students to thrive.
St. Patrick's/Mary, Mother of the Church Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus Council #10381 in Laurie, MO, is dedicated to living out the values of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism through faith-based service and support for those in need. As one of the largest fundraisers for the council, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout helps fuel essential charitable efforts by supporting food pantries, pregnancy help centers, youth programs, and more. In 2024, Shootout funds directly benefited local organizations including Ivy Bend, Community for Christ, and the Boy Scouts. Members actively volunteer by managing parking logistics, gate operations, shuttle services, and assisting at the Bagnell Dam Street Party. Guided by faith and fellowship, the Knights remain committed to strengthening their parish and community.
Stover Project Prom
Stover Project Prom is dedicated to giving students a fun, memorable, and safe prom night experience by hosting a drug-free and alcohol-free celebration. This chaperoned event offers games, prizes, food, and entertainment while ensuring that students can enjoy their evening in a secure, supportive environment. Backed by community sponsors and volunteers, Project Prom encourages responsible choices while celebrating this important milestone.
Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District
The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District proudly serves approximately 6,000 residents across 64 square miles on the west side of the Lake of the Ozarks. As a progressive, all-hazards agency, the district is equipped and trained to handle fire suppression, EMS, hazmat, marine emergencies, and a wide range of technical rescues, including rope, trench, ice, and vehicle extrication. Committed to excellence, the department continually advances its capabilities with modern technology and equipment to ensure the highest level of service and safety for the community.
Sunrise Beach Police Department
The Sunrise Beach Police Department is committed to delivering professional, reliable police services to ensure the safety and security of both residents and visitors. In 2024, the department proudly received Shootout funds, which were used to purchase new squad room desks and a Taser while enhancing both daily operations and officer safety. These upgrades have made a meaningful difference in the department’s efficiency and readiness. Through community partnership and ongoing support, the department continues to strengthen public trust and protect those it serves.
The Changing Table
The Changing Table is dedicated to supporting families in need by providing diapers and essential baby care items, helping to promote health, comfort, and dignity for infants and their caregivers. In addition to this, they also provide feminine hygiene products and adult diapers, all of which were previously taxed as luxury items in the State of Missouri. As of May of 2025, Missouri has enacted legislation exempting diapers and feminine hygiene products from state sales tax. Through community donations and partnerships, the organization works to ease the financial burden on families and ensure that every child has access to the basic necessities. By addressing this often-overlooked need, The Changing Table plays a vital role in strengthening family well-being across the region.
The Jessica and Malachi Brazil Foundation
The Jessica and Malachi Brazil Foundation was created in memory of Jessica Brazil and her son Malachi, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in 2018, this fund honors their legacy by supporting foster youth aging out of the system. Jessica was a passionate advocate for foster children and understood the challenges they face without support. The fund provides scholarships for trade schools such as welding and cosmetology while giving young adults a chance at a brighter future. Powered by 100% of the proceeds from the Run What Ya Brung Poker Run, this mission carries Jessica’s heart for helping others into the next generation.
Wonderland Camp
Last but never least, Wonderland Camp provides a fun, educational camp experience for children, teens, and adults with disabilities while promoting inclusion, independence, and personal growth. Shootout funds help support a variety of enriching activities, from rock climbing and archery to crafts, fishing, and swimming. Volunteers from Wonderland Camp are actively involved in Shootout events, including poker runs, merchandise sales, golf tournaments, and shuttle services. Mike Clayton, a proud member of the team, serves as emcee for both the Hall of Fame and Shootout Awards Ceremonies each year. Every dollar raised helps ensure campers enjoy a safe, unforgettable experience.
